6 Month Health Guarantee

Rivercity Bostons guarantees that the puppy you are purchasing is healthy at the time of the sale. Before delivery or pick-up, a licensed veterinarian has examined the puppy. The breeder will provide a health record that includes all vaccinations and worming information. 

You, as the buyer, are responsible for taking the puppy to a licensed veterinarian of your choice for a physical exam within 10 business days of the puppy's delivery or pick-up. If you fail to do so, the health guarantee will become void. It is also your responsibility to provide all necessary immunizations and medical treatment to the puppy. 

Please note that this health guarantee does not cover conditions that can be corrected by veterinarian treatment or any other preventable conditions.

Our guarantee covers life-threatening health issues for six (6) months, starting from the birth date of the dog. To be eligible for the guarantee, any illness must be documented in writing by a licensed vet and breeder informed within 48 hours. If the animal is found to have been unfit for purchase due to a life-threatening illness, disease, or congenital defect, the buyer can return the puppy for an exchange or refund of equal value at the breeders discretion. The availability of puppies for exchange is determined by the breeder. However, if the breeder is not notified in writing within the allotted timeframe, the replacement puppy or refund will be cancelled.

Conditions not considered life threatening and therefore not covered include but not limited to luxating patella, hernias of any kind, collapsed trachea etc. If the condition can be treated, it is NOT considered life threatening. In the event of a life threatening condition the affected puppy must be returned with all veterinary documentation at buyer’s expense. The buyer understands that a replacement puppy or refund will only be given if it’s discovered to be a Genetic or hereditary problem and not due to accident or illness. 

The Breeder provides a 24-hour guarantee for the puppy against fatal viruses such as Distemper, Parvo, and Corona. However, please note that this guarantee does not cover non-fatal viruses such as Coccidia, Giardia, Herpes Virus, and Kennel Cough. Kennel Cough can be self-limiting and may require antibiotic treatment to run its course, but it is not life-threatening.

Buyer agrees to not allow Veterinarian to administer any vaccine if the puppy/dog's system is under duress from other physical health issues including but not limited to; parasites in the intestinal system, injury or illness. Buyer agrees to not have the rabies vaccine administered at the same time as any other vaccine, but to allow a minimum of three weeks from the last vaccine date before having rabies vaccine administered to puppy.

Buyer agrees that the puppy will not be used for scientific research and will not be sold to a pet shop or puppy mill. The buyer acknowledges that the puppy is not being purchased for resale.

Rivercity Bostons puppies are sold on a strict non-breeding contract unless other arrangements have been agreed upon by breeder and buyer. The buyer agrees to spay or neuter the dog based on their veterinarian's recommendation of age unless other arrangements have been made with the breeder.
